The German stock market started trading on Whit Monday with a friendly trend. The guidelines are positive: On Wall Street, the Dow Jones Industrial managed to easily get back above the 40,000 point mark on Friday evening. After the record hunt by the US indices, there are no major profit-taking opportunities. The Asian stock markets rose.
The DAX rose by 0.23 percent to 18,746.79 points in the first minutes of trading. In the previous week, the leading index corrected slightly with a weekly loss of around 0.4 percent, after having meanwhile reached another record high of 18,892 points. The MDax of medium-sized stocks rose by 0.22 percent to 27,502.13 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading barometer for the Eurozone, initially showed little change.
