Germany announced the fulfillment by Russia of contractual obligations for gas supplies

Gas supply interruptions in Germany have not been recorded, Russia is fulfilling all its contractual obligations for supplies. This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany Annika Einhorn at a press conference in Berlin on the supply of blue fuel on Monday, December 27.

“The security of supply is still guaranteed,” the economic portal Finanzen.net quotes her as saying.

According to Einhorn, the German authorities are “closely monitoring the gas situation.”

Earlier on the same day, Gazprom reported that 43.1% of the volume pumped in this year had already been taken from underground gas storage facilities (UGS) in Europe. The volume of active gas in storage facilities, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe, as of December 24, was 21.1 billion cubic meters. m less than last year’s level.

According to the data of the gas transmission operator GSA Platform as of December 27, Gazprom again did not book capacities for the transit of gas through Poland. Reverse deliveries of energy carrier via the Yamal-Europe pipeline from Germany to Poland have been going on for a week due to the lack of reservation of capacities from European consumers.

Earlier, Gazprom reserved supplies not on a regular basis (ends at 19:00 Moscow time), but at an additional session (ends at 4:30 Moscow time) and used a short-term intraday booking for several hours. But on December 27, these options were not needed.

The Russian gas holding did not reserve capacities for gas transit through Poland across Yamal-Europe from 21 to 24 December. As a result, the transit of gas to the FRG was suspended, then the reverse reverse began.

On December 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Gazprom had not booked this traffic because its counterparties and companies that buy natural gas along this route had not submitted bids for purchase. The Russian leader pointed out the grounds to believe that the gas returned by the reverse gas from the FRG to Poland will later go to Ukraine.
