Regional analysis
In this section, a regionalized study of the data obtained is carried out. It should be noted that for this purpose the tax domicile was taken as a parameter to determine the location of the producer/company/industry that carried out the export.
Buenos Aires and CABA
It is the main exporting region of the country, representing 50.9% of the total exported in dollars by the regional economies. In the period analyzed, Buenos Aires and CABA had export revenues of USD 3,782.8 million, which represents a year-on-year decrease of 0.3% in exported dollars.
The most representative complex in its exports was pork and goats, having sold USD 431.8 million, that is, 11.4% of the total exported by the region.
Patagonia
Considered as the region composed of the provinces of Chubut, La Pampa, Neuquén, Río Negro, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego and South Atlantic Islands, Patagonia exported a total of US$569.6 million, highlighting the province of Black river, with a total exported of US$333.4 million. A growth of 15% is observed compared to the previous period and, in addition, it continues to be the region with the greatest growth in this aspect.
Regarding the most representative productive complex in the region, with US$301 million exported, the fruit complex (apples, pears and quinces) explains 52.8% of the dollars obtained from Patagonian sales abroad.
Analysis by export destination
Below are analyzed the export destinations of regional economies. It is important to clarify that in the data analyzed, only the ports of destination appear, and for logistical reasons, an export is made to a certain port but it is not necessarily the country where the product will be sold or consumed.
This happens for various reasons (size of the port, draft, weight of the merchandise, logistics capacity, etc.). As an example, it can be seen that in Europe the Netherlands is the main destination on the European continent. This does not mean that this destination has more importers than the rest, but that it is where, logistically, it is convenient to send the merchandise, since the port Rotterdam is the largest in the EU.
Europe
In first place, having been the destination of 32.9% of regional sales abroad, is the European continent, to which a total of US$2,448.9 million was exported. Compared to the previous period, this number represents an increase of 0.7% in exported dollars.
The main trading partner on this continent was Netherlands, with a total exported of US$445.9 million. In regional exports to Europe, sales of the peanut complex predominated, which, having sold for US$711.2 million, represented 29% of sales to the continent.
