Lars Windhorst is said to have failed to comply with his duty to cooperate. According to a spokesman, the investor considers the accusation to be false.
The insolvency court in Hanover has issued an arrest warrant against investor Lars Windhorst. A spokeswoman for the Hanover District Court said this on Tuesday when asked. Windhorst is said to have failed to comply with his duty to cooperate in insolvency proceedings against Projekt IZ Hannover GmbH. Windhorst, whom the court considers to be the de facto managing director of the GmbH, failed to appear without excuse at a hearing on April 22.
Lars Windhorst announces press conference
The court issued the arrest warrant on May 23. Windhorst has appealed against the arrest warrant. Initially, several media outlets reported on it, including the “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung”.
A spokesman for Windhorst’s Tennor Group confirmed that an appeal had been lodged against the arrest warrant. The arrest warrant was a “court-imposed means of pressure” intended to get Windhorst to testify. Windhorst believes the accusation that he does not want to fulfill his duty to cooperate is false. This will be discussed with the court and the insolvency administrator.
A press conference by Windhorst in Flensburg has been announced for Wednesday, during which the situation of the Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft shipyard will be discussed.
