The health companies nucleated in the UAS criticized the decision of the Superintendency of Health Services, that urged prepaid medicine companies and social works to transfer the January increase in full to providers.

Therefore, the rejection of the co-payment billing measure, where it was stipulated that patients had to pay 9% of the value of each benefit, the UAS warned that affiliates “are at risk”, before a possible “brake” in medical care.

This contributes, according to the UAS, to the continuous worsening of the financing of the country’s private health system. Before a possible “collapse”, stressed that “some companies are having current business problems that can lead to default.”

“As a consequence of the incessant increase in health costs and the acceleration of the inflation rate in the country that has led to a delay in the income of prepaid medicine companies and providers of the order of 50% in the last two years, aggravating the situation generated by the previous efforts, the chambers that bring together the prepaidthey expressed the impossibility of transferring the last tranche of the increase granted by the government of 9%, to health providers ”, highlighted the chamber that brings together the country’s prepaid medicine companies.

“All the financing partners, members of the UAS, will comply with the resolution of the Superintendency of Health Services, even when for many of them it is difficult to comply,” the entity reported.

And he remarked that for this reason it is expressly stated that “if the government health authorities presume that with said decision they have solved the substance of a severe problem that requires a suitable and careful practice, they should know that they have only momentarily delayed a problem that it will return aggravated in the near future until there are sustainable solutions that bring viability to the entire system ”, they stated in the UAS statement.
