German homes are being upgraded: in many places, laptops have been given an eye-friendly external monitor, and kitchen chairs have been replaced with a more ergonomic model. And there is a daylight lamp for optimal lighting during video conferences. Almost a quarter of employees in Germany work at least partly from home. This was the result of a survey conducted by the Ifo Institute among almost 9,000 companies in February. After the pandemic years, it is not everyone’s turn to “back to the office.” Home offices have become firmly established in everyday working life.
