Bad news, especially from Airbus, has also weighed on the DAX. The German leading index closed 0.81 percent lower at 18,177.62 points. This means that the recovery that began last week has been halted for the time being.
Since the record high of 18,892 points in mid-May, the trend has been downward again. The MDax of medium-sized listed companies lost 0.92 percent to 25,467.36 points.
The Eurozone’s leading index, the EuroStoxx 50, closed 0.3 percent weaker. Prices also fell in Paris and London. The New York leading index, the Dow Jones Industrial, lost 0.7 percent at the close of European trading, while the technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 rose by about the same amount.
The reduction in the company’s targets caused Airbus, the company at the bottom of the DAX, to ultimately fall by 9.5 percent and also weighed on other industry stocks. The aircraft manufacturer expects a lower operating profit than before due to a write-down in the aerospace division and ongoing supply chain problems.
