The Argentine Federation of Remiseros (Farem) agreed jointly on a salary increase for the months of June, July and August that will exceed the inflation accumulated so far this year.
As detailed by the union, the application of the increase applies to drivers throughout the country and favors greater registration of remis drivers, who will also be able to access better benefits in health and tourism.
The parity of the remiseros goes from April 2023 to March 2024. But only from last January to last March did they close an increase of 55%. For April they agreed to a 9% increase and from June 15%. In total, the agreement so far this year totals 79% versus inflation that totals 71.9%, according to the official INDEC measurement.
The agreement was signed by Farem directors with representatives of the Argentine Chamber of Remise Agencies (CAAR) and the Association of Remise Car Owners of the Argentine Republic (ATAR).
The head of Farem, Alejandro Polistressed that “we have been working hard on salary parity with inflation” and assured that with this new agreement “not only have we tied it to inflation, but starting in July we hope that we can exceed it in percentage.”
To continue the tradition that began in March 2023, the agreement also included a remuneration bonus of $20,000 for all drivers, which rises to $40,000 for workers in cold areas.
“Remise is a thriving and growing activity, with a lot of technology, because the applications have been added, which are part of our activity, and in our agreement we have them well identified. That is why I feel happy and proud, not only working to defend salaries against inflation and improve the purchasing power of workers, but also in health and tourism,” Poli emphasized.

The Federation also ratified the validity of the agreements and agreements to promote tourism for remiseros and their families with high-category hotels, such as the Alimar Hotel in Mar del Plataand campsites throughout the country to enjoy vacations surrounded by nature and outdoor life.
They also highlighted the benefits for the health care of members with the opening and reopening of assistance centers and clinics, such as Western Medical Institute (IMO) of Chivilcoy; the Brandsen Maternal and Child Clinic; the San Martin de Ezpeleta Clinic; the María Mater Private Sanatorium of Florencio Varela; the Climedica Private Clinic and San Juan Medical Offices in CABA, the Isidro Casanova Polyclinic and the San Francisco Solano Children and Family Clinicamong others, appear in the booklet of the Social Work of Taxi Drivers Autos al Instante and related (OSCRAIA).
“Social work allows many of the colleagues who were outside the system to today not only have a salary and a collective agreement that allows them to discuss parity, but also the recovery of the health system for registered workers. Thus, we can work with a network of providers that give us the possibility of providing health at the level that truck drivers throughout Argentina deserve,” Poli said.
Finally, Farem recalled the launch, together with the E-ducarte Foundation, of “José Ignacio Rucci” Union Training Center to provide training to taxi drivers and their families.
As explained by union sources, the Federation signed a collaboration agreement with the E-ducarte Foundation, by which it undertakes to provide the necessary facilities for the courses and workshops, including health clinics, while the NGO will provide the teachers for each specialty.
E-Ducarte provides educational policies in training and formation of socially significant knowledge, with tools for professionalization and insertion into the labor market, reinforcing theory and practice, in view of the new educational challenges of the 21st century.
