New record for loans to businesses and families in June for the BNA

With More than $1.130 billion disbursed during June 2024, the National Bank reached a New monthly record in financial assistance to SMEs, large companies and for the consumption of goods and services by families, since the amounts granted reflected an increase of 570% compared to the same period last year.

Of the total disbursements, the BNA specifically allocated US$285 million to finance foreign tradewhich represents 120% more than June 2023.

In this regard, the President of the bank, Daniel Tillardhe said: “In the first days of our administration we set out to absolutely reaffirm our vocation, our mission of being an entity at the service of families and SMEs. Thanks to the decrease in inflation and to this mission of ours, we can precisely deepen our task of being the main financier of the private sector and of Argentines.”

Meanwhile, in more global terms, The first half of this year was very prolific for the granting of credits since between January and June 2024, the BNA allocated almost US$5 billion to the production of companies and the ‘individuals’ segment, which contributed to laying the foundations for improving economic activity in Argentina.

Along the same lines, TiendaBNA mobilized financial resources for another nearly US$10 billion, a situation that allowed thousands of people to access mass consumption goods and services.

In addition, the BNA also expanded resources aimed at stimulating foreign tradesince in the first six months of 2024, financial assistance worth US$660 million was granted, facilitating the exchange of goods and services between Argentina and the rest of the world.

By breaking down the figures, it can be specified that The BNA allocated approximately US$4.3 billion to MSMEs and large companieswhich allowed progress in the process of economic recovery in the country. In more precise terms, almost 90% of the resources were for investments and working capital.

Also The number of transactions increased by 96% monetary and non-monetary such as bank transfers, payments for services or setting fixed terms.

Regarding TiendaBNA, the Bank’s Marketplace, 107,000 transactions were carried out in the first half of the year for almost US$10 billion, with the main commercial movements taking place in Buenos Aires, CABA, Mendoza, Santa Fe and Córdoba. Specifically, the average purchase ticket was close to $90 thousand.

Another important milestone that was achieved this year was the Launch of the “+Homes with BNA” mortgage loansan operation for which more than US$4,000 million were allocated. In this regard, it is appropriate to mention that more than US$4,000 million have already been received. More than 25,000 applicationswhich constitutes a success for the bank and a unique opportunity for thousands of families to access the purchase, construction, change, renovation and expansion of homes throughout the country.

In short, the credit results and financial assistance provided by the BNA during the first half of 2024 to micro, SMEs and large companies throughout the country, are beginning to outline a path of improvement in some economic activity indicators in Argentina.
