Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson recently became parents. The actor couple met at a games night. They giggled so much together that they had to be separated.
The fruit of their love currently adorns the cover of “Vogue”: Suki Waterhouse appears on the British edition of the fashion magazine with her daughter. Inside, she reveals how she met her great love Robert Pattinson. And why she is now only the second most important woman in his life.
The two actors have been a couple since 2018. Although they both come from London, they met in Hollywood – at a games night. The big names in the film business seem to organize these surprisingly often. And even the big names play along. There were “a lot of big names, real heavyweights,” she revealed to the magazine. Al Pacino and the married couple Javier Badem and Penelope Cruz also played along.
Werewolf in Hollywood
What ultimately brought the pair together was that the stars couldn’t really change their ways, says Waterhouse. They played “Werewolf” – a role play in which you have to find out whether the person you’re playing is a normal villager or a werewolf. “It was very tense and intense,” she reports. The actors were completely absorbed in the game and threw themselves into their roles. “Everyone was really into acting.”
Only two didn’t really want to join in: Waterhouse and Pattinson. “I think we both had the same kind of slight discomfort,” says Waterhouse. So they spent the evening laughing together at the seriousness of their colleagues’ game. “We were giggling the whole time at the absurdity of the situation,” she says. Their laughter was apparently so disruptive that they “were asked to stop. A director separated us at one point because we were laughing so hard.”
The couple themselves are not sure whether this was actually their first meeting. “I’m sure we met a while before,” said Waterhouse. But Pattinson couldn’t remember that at the game night. “He didn’t think we knew each other.”

Today, the couple has more important things to do than the details of how they met. They have been engaged since December, and their daughter was born in March. “He is the father I could have hoped for,” Waterhouse says enthusiastically about her fiancé. “He was there for me at the birth, and like many fathers, he was nervous. But for someone who is often very tense, he was extremely relaxed.” Now the nervousness is no longer an issue. “A man and his daughter, that’s a real love story.”
