Thus, the rate of the American currency during trading on the morning of January 6 rose above 77 rubles, while the European currency exceeded 87 rubles.
It is specified that the euro rose above 87 rubles for the first time since August 27, and the dollar exceeded 77 rubles for the first time since April 21 last year.
This is the second day in a row that the ruble has dropped like this. Earlier, on January 5, the Russian currency fell strongly against the euro and the US dollar. At that time, the euro rose above 86 rubles, and the US currency exceeded 76 rubles.
On January 4, Yegor Zhilnikov, chief analyst of the Department of Economic and Industry Analysis of the Center for Analytics and Expertise of Promsvyazbank, predicted that in 2022 the American currency will rise in price. In his opinion, the dollar rate will remain at around 75.5 rubles.
