The study made by Center for Consumer Education, Services and Advice (CESyAC) showed that a typical family needed $1,352,395 to pay his June expenses in the City of Buenos Aires and the suburbsas a result of increases in subway, telephone, Internet and prepaid medicine fares.
The numbers indicate that, in order to meet monthly expenses, a typical family needed $45 thousand daily. Added to that, $15 thousand were used to purchase consumer products and $29,000 to hire basic household services.
The most striking indicator was that two thirds of a family’s income must be spent on paying for services.almost $890 thousand.
The rest of the money -about $462 thousand- were destined to the purchase of mass consumption products.
As for increases, the most relevant ones are in the mass consumer products sector. fell on meats (6.8%) and beverages (6%).
On the other hand, among basic services, those that rose the most were the subway (13.2%), mobile telephony (10%), Cable TV and Internet (10%) and prepaid medicine (8.8%).
