Two years ago, a police car was still standing guard in front of the seven-story office building in Frankfurt’s Westend, and the slogan “Putin=Murderer” was emblazoned in red graffiti on the facade. A Russian bank was located in the building. But the three dozen employees who are now left of the hundreds that once existed are now working as subtenants 500 meters away, in the Marienturm.
