Although he did not say how much the fare could rise, he assured that the update will be “obviously in a gradual and responsible manner so as not to affect users with disproportionate measures.” However, he added that they are looking to bring the fare back to the level of Cordoba, where a bus ride currently costs 940 pesos.

In this regard, he stressed: “We will continue with the process that we have undertaken. Since we arrived at the National Transportation Secretariat, We have increased the AMBA fare like never before in the last 20 years,” the official said in conversation with Cadena 3.

The Government denied an increase in transport subsidies

On the other hand, the official denied that it will increase in 20 billion pesos subsidies for AMBA bus companies with the aim of maintaining the ticket price at $270, as had been reported recently.

If the government actually implements this increase, the subsidies would reach 180 billion pesos.

However, Mogetta strongly denied this version: “We are very surprised because There has been no decisionno rule that we have dictated. We have not issued any resolution ordering increases in subsidies for AMBA”.

How much does a bus ticket cost in August?
