The appointment calendar should no longer be so crammed “: This is the personal New Year’s resolution of the tour guide Sonja Kimeswenger. In addition to health, local businesspeople want to be able to work largely undisturbed by the pandemic, as a broadcast shows. What also unites them all, are ambitious plans and an optimistic outlook for the new year. This also applies to Isabella Pachinger-Döberl, head of the Linz office of the personnel consultant Iventa: “The volatile applicant market and the reluctance of people to change will keep us busy this year as well.”

At Iventa, however, we are looking to the future with optimism: New consultants will strengthen the team this year. “And we are looking for a new location in Linz. New momentum in new premises, so to speak.”
Kutsam starts the new year gratefully
“We make the best of every situation,” says Johannes Behr-Kutsam, head of the fashion retailer of the same name, happily about the aha effect at the turn of the year. “Despite all the difficulties,” said Behr-Kutsam, a lot “is actually good in life”. This gratitude should rub off on the employees.

As for expectations, the fashion retailer is hoping that 2022 will be almost a normal year in business. For the new year, the presence with customers is to be increased – he does not reveal how yet.
With the oldtimer through Upper Austria
The year 2021, a challenging year for the industry, was used by the Linz tour guide Sonja Kimeswenger to train herself: The pioneer in the field of culture and pleasure tours has passed the taxi license test and registered her classic car, a Citroën 11CV, as a taxi: “This year I will be doing tours for Offer a maximum of four people. ”City tours are planned, but also excursions to the Mühlviertel and the Salzkammergut.

Personal and digital encounters
“It’s all about the mix,” says Johannes Edthaler, lawyer and partner at LeitnerLaw in Linz: “Due to digitization, everything goes faster, video conferences are in demand.” On the other hand, personal contact with clients and employees is very important: “People want, that someone is there for you personally. “

In his private life, Edthaler would like to spend more time with the family: “We also value this with our employees.” With trainees, special attention is paid to regular working hours.
Turbulent first year of self-employment
“It was a challenging time. It was difficult for me to find structures due to the restrictions, ”says Nina Schindlinger, who has been self-employed with her“ MilkyRosa ”brand since 2021.

Despite everything, the designer, who lives in Schörfling am Attersee, tripled her sales. For 2022, the illustrator has decided to separate professional from private and to optimize the online presence.
