The Government launched the Energy Efficiency and Reconversion Program on Thursday (PRONUREE)a plan that aims to Main objective: to establish the maximum levels of energy consumption and minimum levels of efficiency for machinery and appliances, based on technical indicators. This scheme facilitates access to financing for the replacement of old equipment with more energy-efficient ones.
Through Resolution 202/2024 of the Energy Secretariat, dependent on the Ministry of Economy, The Government’s plan materialized, which seeks a more sustainable and energy-efficient Argentina. By promoting investment in clean technologies, we seek to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
The Government launches a new energy efficiency plan
One of the objectives of the PRONUREE is to sponsor agreements with various organizations, business chambers, distribution companies energyamong other agents, in order to extend measures for the responsible use of electricity and energy efficiency throughout society.
It also aims to manage the implementation of financing mechanisms aimed at facilitating investments in energy efficiency projects in the residential, service, commercial and industrial sectors.
The Energy Efficiency and Reconversion Program seeks to transform buildings to reduce energy consumption and promote efficient technology. Therefore, residential, commercial, service and industrial consumers “They will be able to access preferential financing from Banco Nación and other associated financial institutions. This financing will facilitate the purchase of more efficient equipment and materials through special conditions, payment plans and rate bonuses.“, the official text states.
