The Government set the New minimum wage for teachers. Through the Resolution 689/2024 of the Ministry of Human Capital published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, the Executive carried out the salary update for teachers corresponding to the period April – July.
“To determine, for the purposes of the operation of the educational system, a minimum teaching salary for the position of teacher, single day, without seniority or equivalent in teaching hours,” states the rule, which bears the signature of the Secretary of Education, Carlos Horacio Torrendell.
Minimum teacher salary: what are the new amounts?
In this way, the Ministry of Education established the minimum teacher salary For the position of teacher, single shift, without seniority or equivalent in teaching hoursThe updates correspond to the months of April, May and July, the amounts of which were set as follows:
- As of April 1, 2024, $380,000;
- Starting May 1, 2024 $400,000;
- as of July 1, 2024 $420,000.
With these amounts established, the Executive can make transfers to the provinces that make up the National Teacher Salary Compensation Programwhich is contemplated by Law No. 26,075.
