Control of companies: which rules were removed and for what reasons
- Resolution No. 65 of 1990: established the need to establish obligations linked to an information regime on clients, sales made and production details. “Such guidelines for price and/or supply control are contrary to the measures promoted by the current national administration, which aim at the freedom of the actors involved in consumer relations in the domestic market.”
- Resolution No. 62 of 2013: indicated that construction material suppliers seeking to redeem CEDINs originating from Law 26,860 must register in a Construction Materials Suppliers Registry. “This measure is ineffective and unnecessary in relation to the current context of commercial transactions.”
- Resolution No. 176 of 2014: The measure was issued with the aim of ensuring that mobile communications service providers report monthly on all plans offered. “Such measure addresses aspects related to the regulation and supervision of communication services, which are exclusive powers of the corresponding authority in charge of the application of the matter. Therefore, it is not within the scope of the Ministry of Commerce to promote price control policies for mobile communications service plans.”
These measures, for the Secretariat “they promoted an interventionist state role.” “The elimination of these resolutions reduces state bureaucracy and simplifies the links between companies and the public administration. It also eliminates the abusive control by the State of the commercial decisions of each company. The three resolutions repealed are added to the 69 regulations eliminated by the Government which hindered relations between companies and the State,” they explained.
