Many people are drawn to warmer regions in retirement, some of them to Croatia. The country on the Mediterranean scores particularly well with its Mediterranean climate and white sandy beaches. The German Pension Insurance (DRV) paid around 1,500 pensions to Germans living there in 2023. However, seniors with emigration plans should bear a few things in mind.
