Beach resorts such as Pattaya and Hua Hin on the east and west coasts of the Gulf of Thailand are popular with Germans. There is a lot to discover, particularly in terms of landscape and culture, confirms Jochen Schuppener. He himself lived in Thailand with his family for three and a half years and now advises people who are emigrating there or returning.
