The governor of Rio Negro, Alberto Weretilneckannounced that in the next few days he will send to the local Legislature a bill for the province to adhere to the Asset Regularization Regime established by national law 27,743 and colloquially known as “bleach”.
The Rio Negro administration indicated that the measure aims “to offer taxpayers the opportunity to regularize undeclared assets, granting them tax benefits.”
Rio Negro seeks to adhere to money laundering
The project, which consists of nine articles, proposes that taxpayers who opt for this regime be exempt from paying the Gross Income Tax on undeclared income in tax periods not prescribed until December 31, 2023.
Likewise, those who were not registered for this tax at the time of joining the regime will be able to regularize their tax situation and access the benefits.
They will also be released from any civil action for crimes under the tax criminal law and other sanctions of the Provincial Tax Code related to non-compliance with obligations or due to the origin of the assets, credits and holdings that are declared and regularized.

The Rio Negro Legislature will decide whether the province will join the money laundering process.
In this regard, the governor Alberto Weretilneck He stressed that this initiative “reflects the provincial government’s commitment to tax regularization and legal security.”
“It is necessary to adapt provincial regulations to what has already been approved in Congress to provide predictability, legal certainty and allow the national law to be effective throughout the country,” said the leader of Together We Are Río Negro (JSRN).
Along these lines, the leader indicated that “with this adhesion, the provinces seek to provide a legal framework that encourages and facilitates taxpayers to regularize their situation and align themselves with national regulations.”
He also clarified that “the law approved by Congress established that the proceeds from this Regularization of Assets will be shared by the provinces, therefore the intention is not to tax it with new local taxes.”
The bill also authorizes the Executive Branch, through the Tax Collection Agency, to issue the necessary regulations for the implementation of this law in the province.
It should be remembered that the province was a pioneer in joining the Large Investment Incentive Scheme (RIGI)seeking to take over the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project originally planned to be installed in Bahía Blanca.
Alberto Weretilneck’s claims to the Nation
In recent weeks, the governor of Río Negro He revived his complaints to the Casa Rosada with special emphasis on the state of Route 22 and issues related to lack of maintenance.
This Wednesday, for example, he reported that “The lack of national policies is putting Cipoletti at risk.” In a post on his social networks, Weretilneck supported the mayor of that town, Rodrigo Buteler, who made the decision to prohibit the passage of trucks through Circunvalación.

“Without the return of the train, heavy traffic on the Beltway threatens the safety of our streets and our people. Mayor Rodrigo Buteler, faced with this inaction, decided to prohibit the passage of trucks on the Beltway to protect the city,” said the president.
At the same time, he stated: “We fully support this firm and necessary measure to guarantee the safety of the people of Cipolletti.” Specifically, the mayor demanded the return of the passenger train to the district, a joint request to Ferrosur and Vialidad Nacional.
“It is worrying, because the growth in the coming years is going to be exponential. I think we are not realizing what is going to happen in the coming years in the area. Well, that forces us to make decisions, at least to take care of what is ours, which is our city and our urban area,” Buteler commented to Río Negro Radio, referring to the infrastructure that the future LNG plant to be built in Punta Colorada will require.
