The Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (ITBA) starts the 9th edition of the Argentine Technology Competition (OATEC)an annual event designed to inspire scientific and technological vocations among high school students across the country.
Exploring the theme of “Technology in Agriculture”OATec will provide participants with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and develop skills to analyze, interpret and address situations related to scientific and technological activities.
In addition, the assessment will cover general knowledge on this year’s topic, the handling of orders of magnitude, deductive logic and the ability to solve problems.

Who can participate?
To participate, interested parties must be regular students at the educational establishment they attend and students under 19 years of age in the year of the competition may register.

What are the prizes for the winners?
The winners of the first three places They will receive scholarships to study at ITBA of 100%, 75% and 50%, respectively, in addition to obtaining a computer for 1st place and a Tablet for 2nd and 3rd place each..
Likewise, the corresponding guidance teachers will each receive diplomas and a tablet.

In this edition, the evaluation jury will be made up of leading ITBA professionals, who will analyze aspects such as general knowledge related to the proposed topic, aptitude for planning and problem solving, manual skills, efficiency in the use of resources and exposition capacity.
