He Government of the Province of Buenos Aires I confirm that, this Sunday, a 5.6% adjustment will apply in the amounts of traffic fines. These values will be maintained for the two-month period between September and October.
The measure establishes the value of “fixed unit” (UF) at $1299which is used to avoid having to constantly modify the law according to inflation. This price is set in equivalence to the price per liter of gasoline of higher octane reported by the Argentine Automobile Club of La Plata.
The increase in fines in the Province of Buenos Aires
The new increase, decreed for the territory of Buenos Aires, will begin to take effect from this Sunday, when the month of September begins. Through resolution 203/2024, it was established a new UF value, which will increase by 5.6%.

In this way, the new value of the UF will be set at $1299. The economic sanction of each fine is calculated by multiplying the amount of UF established by its value, so the scale will be as follows:
- Driving with speeding (150 to 1000 UF): 194,850 to 1,299,000 pesos
- Driving with excess of occupants (150 to 500 UF): from 194,850 to 649,500 pesos
- Driving with excess alcohol in blood or by consuming narcotics (200 to 1000 UF): from 259,800 pesos to 1,299,000 pesos
- Driving in the wrong way or on the shoulder (200 to 1000 UF): from 259,800 pesos to 1,299,000
VTV prices in the province of Buenos Aires for September
