The student organization IEEE ITBA (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), of Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (ITBA)carried out the ““Asimov Cup”a free robotics competition open to the public at the Technology District Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by a total of 55 robots in 4 different categories: Sumo, Minisumo, Soccer and Racing.
RESULTS BY CATEGORY:
- RACING: First place went to the robot “Ctrl+V” by Nicolas Melinger, a 28-year-old, second place to “YAGER” and third place to “Tourbillon”.
- SUMO: First place went to the robot “Darkhold” by 23-year-old Nahuel Frete; second place to “Mantarraya”, and third place to “Fatigue”.
- MINISUMO: First place went to “Barbie”, the robot from Huilen Micaela Diaz; second place to “Hystory”. Third place went to “Bobina”. Also present at this edition was the MiniSumo Pro, which was won by Agustín Gómez Jacos, 20 years old, and his robot “Flag”.
- SOCCER: First and second place went to the robots “The Krav”, by Santiago Barraza, a student at the Don Orione Institute and the youngest of the winners at 16 years old; second place went to “LlaneroSolitario”. Third place went to “BenziBot”.

Each category was developed independently of the others, all taking place simultaneously on the day of the event.
“Tackling the organization of this event is always a great challenge, but also an incredible opportunity to demonstrate the importance of robotics in the country.
