The framework agreement establishes a joint commitment to integrate the gender perspective in mining development through academic, cultural and community cooperation.
The agreement signed by Sassarini and Mercedes Rodriguezexecutive director of WIM Argentina, aims to promote concrete actions that encourage the incorporation of the gender perspective in environmental impact reports, awareness and training for the creation of healthy work environments, as well as support in the development of good practices.

The initiative, which will be valid for two years, reflects the mutual commitment of both institutions to move towards more inclusive and responsible mining. “The signing of this agreement represents an important step in the collaboration between public institutions and civil society organizations, strengthening the basis for mining development that is not only environmentally sustainable, but also socially.”the parties stressed.
