The Rural Society’s statement
Minutes after the incident, the Sociedad Rural Argentina (SRA) released a statement with details of the attempted attack: “From the Sociedad Rural Argentina we inform that today at our Social Headquarters, We have received a package that when opened generated smoke, activating the security protocol of the building”.
“It should be noted that No one was injured and people who were in contact with the smoke were removed to a health center for proper monitoring. Given this situation, we alerted the public forces who are carrying out the corresponding operation throughout the building and conducting the relevant investigation,” they add in the text.
At the end of the statement, the organization expressed “reassurance to the families of the authorities and the work team, to the partners and to the citizens that we are all in perfect condition.”
What is known about the attempted attack against Nicolás Pino?
According to the information provided by the authorities so far, the explosive in the first package had no shrapnelfor which the authorities assured that It was not intended to “cause harm”.
As a result of the incident, Four people had to be transferred to the Fernández Hospital for having interacted with the package, despite being unharmed. Only the secretary filed a complaint hematoma after what happened.
