The Argentine Rural Society (SRA) issued a statement following the attempted attack on Thursday, in which four people were slightly injured after an envelope addressed to the president of the entity, Nicolás Pino, exploded.
The rural entity published from its official account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) a brief message in which it gave details of the attack on the property of The Rural in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo this Thursday.

At the beginning of the statement, the SRA stated: “We inform you that today, at our Headquarters, we received a package that, when opened, generated smoke and activated the building’s security protocol. It should be noted that no one was injured and that the people who were in contact with the smoke were sent to a health center for proper monitoring.”
They added: “Given this situation, we alerted the security forces, who are carrying out the corresponding operation throughout the building and carrying out the relevant investigation.”
Finally, they said: “We want to reassure the families of the authorities and the work team, the partners and the citizens that we are all in perfect condition.”
Coninagro expressed solidarity with Nicolás Pino for the attempted attack
Also from the networks, the Intercooperative Confederation of Agricultural Producers Limited (Coninagro) expressed solidarity with Pino. “From @CONINAGRO we stand in solidarity with the Argentine Rural Society and its President @NicolasPinoSRA.”
“We are shocked by a situation that is unthinkable in our country. We drastically reject these acts of violence and we ask that this extremely serious incident be clarified urgently,” concluded the message on the X network.
