Stock exchange: Dax continues recovery at a moderate pace

Investors are buying shares on the stock market at the end of the week. Their eyes are on the upcoming interest rate decision in the USA.

The DAX continued its recent recovery on Friday and continued to rise. The German leading index rose by 0.33 percent to 18,579.16 points, after gaining a good one percent on Thursday. This suggests a gain of around 1.5 percent for the week.

“Share prices are rising across the board as investors bought the lowest prices of technology stocks ahead of the highly anticipated interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve next week,” said Commerzbank, referring to the particularly strong price gains in technology stocks recently. As expected, the European Central Bank had already cut interest rates the day before.

The MDax index for medium-sized listed companies rose by 0.41 percent to 25,336.38 points on Friday. The Eurozone’s leading index, the EuroStoxx 50, gained 0.33 percent.
