Partners reported fraud in their bank accounts

The inconveniences were linked to MiCASLA, the institution’s portal through which members manage the payment of their contributions.

According to what they said, around 3,500 members observed purchases in supermarkets, shopping malls, delivery, filling up at gas stations, payments of savings plans and even the emptying of their savings accounts.

In response to this situation, the Boedo club issued a statement on Friday afternoon in which the authorities indicated that they were aware of the problem and promised to provide a prompt solution.

“San Lorenzo is working with the competent authorities in response to queries from partners using the MiCasla portal that have detected charges on their credit/debit cards, which they have not made, between August 29, 2024 and September 12, 2024“, they explained.

In this regard, they stated that “in the event of identifying any type of action that may have been the cause of these inconveniences, the Club will immediately take appropriate legal action“.

“As soon as this situation became known, San Lorenzo referred the issue to the company providing the service, which has reported that the service is currently operational and functioning normally, and that additional security measures have been implemented to protect the system and prevent all types of cyber attacks,” they described.

On the other hand, the club suggested that “all those who have made online payments during the mentioned period that Check your card statements and, if you observe any type of suspicious expense, report it immediately to your banking entities, making the relevant denial of the charge.”
