Who will succeed Max Moser? The 26-year-old from Lower Austria won the stock market game last year. At the virtual award ceremony in April last year, he accepted the main prize: a Citroën C3, provided by Kepler Fonds KAG and Autowelt Linz.
Only a few days left before the search for Moser’s successor begins: January 27th is the start of the stock exchange game, organized by the OÖ Nachrichten and Raiffeisen Oberösterreich. The homepage is activated. Registration is already possible.
Until March 23, participants can playfully explore the world of the stock market and buy stocks that have the potential to go through the roof. Anyone who wants to be there can do so from January 27 on the game homepage www.oon-boersespiel.at.
Each participant receives a fictitious starting capital of 50,000 euros. An entry at any time. All players can trade securities online on their PC, tablet or smartphone. Whoever has achieved the best performance in their portfolio at the end wins.
You can choose from stocks from the following indices: ATX, DAX, TecDax and Dow Jones. There are also selected certificates and funds. The game is played in several categories: Anyone who has reached the age of 18 at the start of the game can take part in the individual rating. In addition, winners will also be chosen in the categories of student rating, class rating and “regional rally”. Pupils from the ninth grade may participate in the pupil evaluation. In the class ranking, school classes are allowed to play together with a teacher.
Own rating in the regions
The six Upper Austrian regions of Linz, Wels, Steyr, Salzkammergut, Innviertel and Mühlviertel also score extra. The six winners will also be honored at the big final event.
There are great prizes for the winners with a total value of more than 30,000 euros. The winner of the adult category gets the new Citroën C3. The second prize is an e-bike and certificate vouchers worth 4,000 euros. There is a gourmet dinner, a holiday in Austria and Linz city vouchers for places three to five.
For the students there is an Apple iPhone 13 Pro as the first prize. There is an e-scooter for second place and a Garmin smartwatch for third place. These prices come from the OÖ Nachrichten. “Race & Fun” in the Rotax MAX Dome in Linz, a visit to the “Jump Dome”, also in Linz, and a private screening of a film of your choice await the winning school classes.
It is therefore worth taking part in the stock market game. Not least because in this game you can get a taste of the stock market without risk and you can definitely learn how the stock markets work in practice.
