The Digitalos, which was launched by the OÖNachrichten together with its partners, will be awarded for the sixth time on November 12th in the Linzer Tabakfabrik.

The official Upper Austria Digital Award honors the country’s digital pioneers and trailblazers who have distinguished themselves with special achievements in this field.

Companies based in Upper Austria can apply in the categories “Digital Start-ups”, “Digital Transformation” and “Digital Project” until October 5th on digitalos.at, where you will also find all registration and participation conditions.

In the “Digital Personality” category, there is a pre-selection by the jury, and for the first time this year IT:U founding president Stefanie Lind-staedt will chair the jury. The special “Digitalia” prize – for a woman who stands out through digital achievements – and the “Digital Pioneering Achievement” prize for lifetime achievement are awarded directly by the jury.

About start-ups and ideas

In the “Digital Start-ups” category, we are looking for young entrepreneurs who have a unique idea. In the “Digital Transformation” category, companies and institutions that have converted their analogue business model into a digital one are recognized, and in the “Digital Project” category, successful associations and institutions are recognized for their initiatives.

For example, Johannes Huber’s start-up Drohnenscan has already applied this year. It specializes in the creation and processing of digital 3D models for surfaces and buildings – through the use of drones.

The company Wintersteiger from Ried im Innkreis (boss Harold Kostka) applied in the “Digital Transformation” category. The company has developed from a ski service machine manufacturer into a partner for ski rental and sports retailers – with the rental software “Easyrent”.
