State employees in October: who will receive it
The Government of La Rioja decided to implement a 27% increase for its state workers, effective as of October. Governor Ricardo Quintela announced that this increase will be reflected in the September settlement, starting with a 15% adjustment in the net minimum wage. Thus, the minimum wage for public employees will rise to 507,000 pesos.
An extraordinary bonus of 50,000 pesos, known as “chachos”, will also be maintained, bringing the total increase to 27%. This bonus, which has been in effect in recent months, will continue to be available in October, benefiting state workers.

The Minister of Education has been in negotiations with unions to implement a 65,000 peso increase in the basic salary, thus raising the minimum to 450,000 pesos for teachers with a regular position. Increase for other sectors of public administration
State employees in other areas of public administration will also receive salary increases. In this case, an increase of 20,000 pesos will be granted to their salaries, which, together with the 50,000 pesos bonus, will result in a total increase of 70,000 pesos.
