The pretty red brick bungalow stands on a 900 square meter garden plot in the Lower Saxony district town of Vechta. The five-room house dates from 1955, but is apparently in good shape: the owners modernized the bathroom and kitchen a few years ago. The windows and roof have also been replaced, and a gas boiler provides heat and heats the water. The sellers want 279,000 euros for the property. The catch: despite all the modernizations, it only achieves the second-worst energy class, G.
