The proposal comes after the National Institute of Associativism and Social Economy (INAES) request an extension until May 2025 for registrations following an analysis of the technical report carried out related to cooperatives. The Secretariat had verified that The rate of re-registration of cooperatives to the Registry of MSMEs was substantially lower to the rest of the companies included in it, “which is why it can be seen that they are having greater difficulties in successfully completing the process.”

In this sense, the document adds that the extension requested by the INAES “is difficult to implement” since “it would imply carrying out a Change in the code of the SME Registry algorithm that would pose risks which could affect not only applications submitted after May 16, 2024 on this particular topic, but would affect other topics.” In this regard, the following changes were made:
MSME registration: what changes will there be in the registration for cooperatives?
1. The need to verify that all members and members of the cooperatives are registered in the Registry of MSMEs.
2. Cooperatives that have requested their registration in the Registry of MSME Companies between May 16, 2024 and the date of entry into force of this measure and whose procedure remains unanswered due to not having completed it, may choose to:
a. Continue the process
b. Request voluntary withdrawal from the MSME Registry through the “MSME Categorization – Voluntary Withdrawal from the Registry” procedure on the Remote Procedures (TAD) platform and then correct Form No. 1,272 in the “SMEs Request for Categorization and/or Benefits” service on the Federal Public Revenue Administration website so that the request can be processed.
The measure comes into effect from its publication today in the Official Gazette.
What is the MSME Registry?
