Consumers can take part in auctions and buy Esprit assets online. All stores across Germany will be closed until the end of November.
Desks, computers, cell phones, cars: From now on, you can bid on the assets of the insolvent German Esprit companies on the Internet. The first two online auctions can already be viewed on the website www.ht-kg.de. This is according to a statement from HT Hanseatische Industrie-Consult GmbH & Co. KG, which was commissioned to hold the auction. Anyone can take part in the auctions after registering.
All fixed assets at the Esprit headquarters in Ratingen and the logistics center in Mönchengladbach will be auctioned off. According to the announcement, a total of around 2,000 items will be put up for sale in several auctions, including 400 office workstations with height-adjustable desks, around 500 electrical devices such as computers, tablets and smartphones, as well as televisions and video conference systems. Bidding is also possible on 40 cars from the Esprit fleet. Clothing items are not part of the auctions.
At the beginning of August it was announced that the fashion group would be closing all of its 56 stores in Germany by the end of the year. Around 1,300 employees will lose their jobs as a result. Esprit’s business is currently being wound up. The stores in which goods are still being sold will close by the end of November at the latest, a spokesperson said. Some stores are already closed.
