Armament: Rheinmetall is to supply Denmark with anti-aircraft systems

The arms company Rheinmetall receives a major order from the Danish government. This includes 16 towers of the “Skyranger 30” mobile air defense system.

Rheinmetall supplies the Danish government with mobile air defense systems. The defense company announced that it had received a major order for 16 “Skyranger 30” turrets and vehicle equipment. The order value is therefore in the low three-digit million euro range.

The air defense system, which can be integrated into an 8×8 wheeled vehicle already used by the Danish armed forces, is scheduled to be delivered in 2027 and 2028, with a prototype at the end of 2026. Denmark has also ordered ammunition, Rheinmetall said.

“We are grateful that another well-known NATO customer, Denmark, is now trusting in our Skyranger 30,” said the head of the Rheinmetall Electronic Solutions Division, Oliver Dürr. The “Skyranger 30” is an anti-aircraft system integrated into a gun turret. It is intended to detect, track and ward off dangers from the air. Rheinmetall had already received a major order from the Bundeswehr to supply the air defense system in February.
