Professionals believe that the use of this technology could reduce 12 hours of work per week over the next five years, or 4 hours per week in the short term. This savings would be equivalent to adding one additional member for every 10 employees on a team, which, in economic terms, would translate to an estimated $100,000 in additional billable hours.
The projection for 2029 suggests that these changes will transform the world of work, allowing professionals focus on more strategic, high-value activities, rather than routine administrative tasks.
The survey also revealed that professionals expect to see significant improvements in areas such as innovation (79%), more time spent on engaging, judgment-based tasks (66%), more opportunities for continued skill development (57%), and better work-life balance (51%) .
Despite these advances, 37% of respondents have not yet experimented with AI-powered technologies. Among the most common reasons for this reluctance are lack of clarity about what types of tasks can benefit from AI (35%) and uncertainty about how to access these tools (28%).
Ethical use and need for new skills
The responsible use of AI remains a crucial issue. Most of Professionals (95%) consider it unacceptable for AI to represent clients in court or make final decisions on complex topics such as legal or tax matters. However, professionals are more comfortable using AI in tasks such as writing basic documents, research and data analysis, and administrative tasks.
