The Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francosannounced that the Government seeks to eliminate primaries. “We are going to propose the elimination of the PASO,” he launched days after the sanction of the law of Single Paper Ballot.
“We have to design a system because the PASO were of no use”declared Francos, who also pointed out that this system generates “an enormous cost for the State” and is “a general annoyance for citizens.”
“The internal problems of the parties have to be resolved by the parties, not by the national State or the group of all citizens,” Francos emphasized in a conversation on Radio Continental.
In that sense, Francos announced that The electoral reforms will be only the beginning of a series of transformations aimed at modernizing and making the Argentine State more efficient. “This is what we also want to do with the country’s economy,” he concluded.

What does the project to eliminate the mandatory PASO consist of?
As Ámbito found out, the proposal is based on three main keys:
