Many people move to warmer regions when they retire, some of them to Croatia. The country on the Mediterranean particularly scores points with its Mediterranean climate and white sandy beaches. The German Pension Insurance (DRV) paid around 1,500 pensions to Germans living there in 2023. However, seniors planning to emigrate should keep a few things in mind.
