The Slavyanka company also intends to revise the cost of products, but from January 17, they added in the distribution network. Manufacturers ask for different boosts depending on the brand. In Utkonos Online, Izvestia confirmed that they had encountered similar letters from suppliers. So far, retail chains are considering offers from confectioners.
As clarified in Verny, Mondelez plans to increase prices for biscuits and cookies up to 19%, for chocolate – up to 9%, for chewing gum and lollipops – up to 6%. The lists include more than 60 products: Dirol chewing gum, Halls sweets, waffles, Milka and Alpen Gold chocolates, Barney cookies, Tuk crackers, Anniversary cookies, Oreo, etc. The supplier traditionally raises prices once a year and reports that this rise in price is a forced measure that will allow maintaining the quality of products at the proper level, the retail chain added. They also reported that Ferrero is ready to raise prices by an average of 6% for popular brands – for Ferrero and Raffaello sweets, Kinder brand products, Nutella pasta, in total there are more than 130 items on the list.
“United Confectioners” also notified about the increase in purchase prices up to 18%, said in “Verny”. As the representative of the network specified, the manufacturer plans to increase them for wafer cakes, gingerbread, halva, wafers, marshmallows, candy by weight, chocolate, there are almost 100 positions in the list. Khlebprom intends to raise prices up to 23% for cakes and pastries, the retailer said. They added that the Slavyanka company announced an increase in the price tag for waffles and sweets, a total of 60 items, by a maximum of 18%.
