The Attorney General of the National Treasury, Rodolfo Barrasigned this Tuesday the opinion so that the General Sindicature of the Nation (SIGEN) works like auditing body of the National Universities.
Among the justifications, the Attorney General reported that the planned internal control system is included in the Law of Financial Administration and the National Public Sector Control System No. 24,156 and applicable to the National Universities without contradicting or violating the functional autonomy and the administrative-financial autarky that the National Constitution recognizes, regulated through the Higher Education Law 24,521.
In this way, and through the Opinion, Barra issued his opinion on the regulatory framework of the exercise of control of the SIGEN in the field of the National Universities and includes them within the Financial Administration Law (LAF), its regulatory and complementary standards. .
The resolution was reported to the Secretary of Education of the Ministry of Human Capital. This was a request from the PRO parliamentary bloc to the national government.
