The situation for property buyers has not been as favorable as it is now: prices per square meter have fallen sharply since the market peaked in 2022. Nevertheless, there is currently little competition among those searching on the market. And interest rates on mortgage loans have fallen sharply again since the end of 2024. Around a year ago, buyers still had to calculate interest rates of around 4.2 to 4.4 percent. It is now only 3.3 to 3.5 percent, because building interest rates have currently reached an annual low.
