Trade: Nordfrost is recalling ice cube bags

The Nordfrost company is recalling two ice cube products due to possible contamination with plastic particles.

The company Nordfrost GmbH & Co. KG has recalled ice cube bags throughout Germany due to possible contamination with plastic particles. The products affected are “Ice Cubes” in a two-kilogram bag (item number 48923) with the best-before dates from May 21, 2026 to August 12, 2026 and ice cubes in a five-kilogram bag (item number 48954) from July 4, 2026 to September 2, 2026.

The company in Schortens in the Friesland district of Lower Saxony said it cannot be ruled out that individual packs contain foreign bodies made of partly transparent hard plastic in different sizes. The ice cream is sold in Rewe supermarkets, among other places. Consumers could also receive a refund for the products in the stores where they purchased them without presenting the receipt.
