The modality of heist at gunpoint was the type of crime with the highest number of cases in the automotive market, according to the latest statistics that were known through a private report.
This practice prevailed over theft, representing 71.95% and 28.05% respectively. In addition, he confirmed that 92% of the cases occurred on public roads.

The data comes from the “Vehicle Theft Indicator” (IRV), with data for the month of September taken in CABA and GBA by its Command and Control Center, prepared by Ituran Argentina.

According to the IRV, Mondays were the day with the highest number of robberies with 20.73%, followed by Wednesdays (19.51%), Saturdays (15.85%), Tuesdays (13.41%) and on Sundays (12.20%). On the contrary, Fridays (9.76%) and Thursdays (8.54%) were the days with the fewest robberies recorded.
As for the time slots in which the crimes were committed, the Indicator confirms that the time in which there was a highest concentration of robberies was at night, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. (43.21%). They were followed by the ranges from 06:00 to 12:00, and from 12:00 to 18:00 with the same percentage (20.99%). In last place was the one from 00:00 to 06:00 with 14.81%.
Regarding the areas, the West was positioned as the most unsafe with 41.46% of the cases, concentrating 18.75% of the accidents in La Matanza. Then followed the South Zone, obtaining 34.15% and, in third place, the North Zone, with 13.41%. In September, Capital Federal was established as the area with the lowest number of robberies, with 10.98%.
