Barcelona beat Real Madrid at the Barnabéu and rules alone

blow of the Barcelona at the Bernabéu: guided by a double from Robert Lewandowski, the Barça team took the victory by a resounding 4-0 on the field of the real Madridthis Saturday at the Classic Spanish League.

This stellar clash on matchday 11 helps Barça distance themselves as leaders, extending their advantage from three to six points over second place, Real Madrid, who suffered their first defeat of this edition of the championship after receiving a lesson in the second half by part of his greatest enemy.

Lewandowski’s two blows that decided the game came within a space of just three minutes: first the Pole took advantage of a pass between the lines from Marc Casadó to stand alone in front of Andriy Yunin, whom he beat with a shot from the center of the area (minute 54), while the second was in the 56th, with a header after a center from Alejandro Balde.

The win was later signed by goals from Lamine Yamal (77) and the Brazilian Raphinha (84).

Lewandowski could have added more, with a shot that hit the woodwork in the 67th and another that went over in the 69th, but in any case he reinforced his status as the top scorer in this League, where he already has 14 goals, double that of the second.

On the other side, Mbappé symbolized Real Madrid’s frustration. In his first Spanish Classic, the French emblem saw two goals disallowed for offside (30 and 66), the first of them after even having celebrated a goal that did not get on the scoreboard.

Defending impeccably and causing the white attackers to fall offside again and again, Hansi Flick’s formula worked perfectly to the despair of the home team.

The first half had no goals but was at an electric pace, tremendously entertaining and with constant twists and turns.

In the second everything changed, especially after Lewandowski’s double (54, 56), which left Real Madrid very emotionally affected.

Barça’s third, from Yamal in the 77th minute, ended up killing the game, culminating a counterattack with a cross shot. At 17 years and 105 days, he also became the youngest scorer in the history of the Spanish Classics, surpassing Ansu Fati’s mark (17 years and 359 days).

Real Madrid was a broken toy in the final stretch and Raphinha scored the fourth and final goal in the 84th minute, beating Lucas Vázquez to finish by lifting Lunin.

For the Brazilian it was a perfect way to end his great week, three days after his hat-trick in another prestigious victory, the 4-1 victory against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Barça thus puts an end to a bad streak of four consecutive Clásicos lost against Real Madrid. It is their biggest victory over their eternal rival since another 4-0 victory in Madrid, on matchday 29 of the 2021-2022 League.

In the rest of Saturday’s games, Girona’s new defeat (13th), third in the League last season, stood out. This time their executioner was Las Palmas (1-0), which thanks to Javi Muñoz’s goal (minute 41) provisionally escaped relegation by placing seventeenth.

This Saturday also highlighted the victory of Villarreal, which provisionally climbed onto the League podium (3rd) with its 2-1 victory at Valladolid (19th), with a goal in the 84th minute by Ayoze Pérez, who was returning from a injury.

For its part, Rayo Vallecano (7th) defeated Alavés (14th) 1-0 thanks to an own goal by goalkeeper Antonio Sivera.
