Andrew Bernstein, who served as executive producer and director on the second season of the Prime Video series, will direct the feature film.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryanthe adventure series that turned out to be a hit for Amazon MGM, is coming to the movies.
The company is developing a film in which John Krasinskiprotagonist of the series, will once again play the main role of the intrepid CIA analyst. Wendell Pierce (The Wire) is also set to return, while Michael Kelly (House of Cards) is also in negotiations to return.
Andrew Bernsteinwho served as executive producer and director on the series’ second season, will direct the feature film which has a script written by Aaron Rabinwho served as co-executive producer and writer on the fourth season.
What the series “Jack Ryan” is about
Jack Ryan was based on the characters and the so-called “Ryanverse” created by author Clancy, but set in modern times. It aired for four seasons on Amazon Prime Video, where it is among the three most viewed Prime series worldwide.
Krasinski and Allyson Seeger produce the show through their Sunday Night banner. Andrew Form is also a producer.
Krasinski, who is also an accomplished filmmaker, most recently wrote, produced and directed the family fantasy I.F.in which he acted alongside Ryan Reynolds. He and his company also produced A Quiet Place: Day Onean extension of their acclaimed creature feature film franchise.
