What is the story that will be told in Welcome to Derry
The Muschietti duo, who developed the series with the screenwriter of It Chapter Two, Jason Fuchschanged the timeline of his It films a few decades after the setting of King’s book. So IT: Welcome to Derry follow the same path. The main story takes place in 1962, which is the year the Black Spot fire burned, while the book sets that particular tragedy in the 1930s.
