Minister Moroni affirmed that “the national government will continue to assist the sectors that, due to various effects of the pandemic, require help to keep the productive units standing and the employment contracts in force.”

“The aid will be directed towards those tourist sectors in localities that have not yet recovered their usual dynamism. It is one more example of the decision of the government of President Alberto Fernández to promote a development project for our country,” said the official.

“From the national government we have carried out a battery of measures so that tourism, one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic, continues to stand in Argentina. This allowed us to be experiencing a historic summer season, essential for the reactivation of our economy”, added his peer from Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens.

The National State will assist with 70% of the net remuneration, with a cap of $22,000, to the workers of these establishments, after the registration of the company to this complementary program of REPRO 2, which is also renewed monthly.

Companies from these locations registered with the AFIP as of March 12, 2020 as “accommodation services in hotels, inns and similar residences, except by the hour, which include or do not include restaurant service to the public” as an activity principal.

With this new benefit, support for the tourism sector continues, where an investment of more than $125,000 million has already been made to support companies and their workers through different initiatives such as the Tourist Assistance and Training Fund (FACT), the Tourist Assistance Fund for Tourism Providers (APTur), the Emergency Assistance Program for Work and Production (ATP), the Productive Recovery Program 2 (REPRO 2), the Emergency Assistance Program for the Independent Critical Sector and loans to tourism SMEs, among other.
