The second season of The Squid Game premieres worldwide on December 26, only on Netflix.
The squid game became a favorite of Netflix since its release in 2021. The show has racked up numerous praise and praise from fans and critics alike. While season 2 has yet to premiere, the show’s creator, Hwang Dong-hyukrevealed when the series would end by concluding Seong Gi-hun’s story (Lee Jung-jae) and their participation in these games of death.

During a “For Your Consideration” event in Los Angeles, Hwang reiterated that season 3 will be the final installment of The Squid Game. He stated that the conclusion came to him “naturally” and that he is “almost done with the editing portion of season three.”


“When I was thinking about the idea of the season three finale, I think it occurred to me naturally that this would be the end.. I thought that with that story, I could tell everything I wanted to tell through the story of The Squid Game and also from Gi-hun’s perspective as a character, and I thought we don’t need any more stories from here.”
At the moment, there is not much news about what season 3 will entail. However, it has been reported that the third and final installment of The Squid Game is scheduled for sometime in 2025.
What the second season of The Squid Game is about
The second season ups the ante, with Lee Jung-jae reprising his role as Seong Gi-hun, also known as Player 456. Gi-hun, with a hardened demeanor and scars from past matches, is on a desperate mission to expose the deadly truth of the competition. However, his warnings go unheeded and tensions rise when his companions question his intentions.
