The unions demanded their reinstatement through assemblies, generating more complications for the passengers. It is worth specifying that Aerolíneas Argentinas operations were not affected by this measurealthough it was already facing previous problems due to the protest of the APLA pilots.

From the Ministry of Transportation they reported that “Intercargo made the decision to dismiss an employee for abandoning his job, causing delays in the collection of luggage for hundreds of passengers and making airport activity difficult.

The incident had occurred on Saturday at Aeroparquewhen the coordinator of the luggage unloading service ignored the direct order to remain at his job until he was relieved by a colleague and left the operation unattended, delaying the delivery of suitcases for two hours,” they had added.

Given that situation, “The company quickly made the decision to terminate the employee’s employment for not performing his duties correctly.affecting users and delaying airport operations during the weekend.”

The APA statement: they demanded ”legitimate reincorporation

In contrast, APA issued its own statement stating: “We urgently demand his legitimate reinstatement. We warn that there may be delays due to information meetings”.

We will not allow this type of provocations, even less so in the midst of the irresponsibility of Fernando Montes, President of Intercargo, and his managers in the face of a joint meeting that was intentionally interrupted to economically harm all of Intercargo’s workers,” they concluded.
